Checking a token before you buy

The guides that explain what can be verified about a Robinhood Chain token, what cannot, and how each check fails. No ratings, no badges, no scores.

The safety lane rests on one admission: what can be checked about a token is narrow, and what decides the outcome usually cannot be checked at all.

Start with how to check a token before you buy for the sequence, how rug pulls work for what you are checking against, and what a liquidity lock is for the mechanism every other page refers back to. Each names what its check cannot see: a honeypot is invisible to a lock check, and a lock is invisible to a contract audit.

There is no score anywhere in this lane, and no page ends by telling you whether to buy. Each ends with what you now know and what you still do not. Browse tokens escrowed at birth to see the checks against live data, or — if you are on the other side of the read — lock liquidity through Team Finance, our sister product.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no safety score?

Because a single number would have to average checks that do not average. A lock read is exact and a contract read is exact, but neither can see intent, and the failures that cost people money are usually the ones no check reaches. A score hides that boundary; naming what each check cannot see keeps it visible.

FiguresEvery number on this page is frozen at the date printed beside it and refreshed when the page is rebuilt — not live. The sentences reason about the figures, so a value that changed underneath them would make the prose wrong. Live values live on Explore and the pages it links out to. Methodology →
