An airdrop is a free distribution of tokens to a list of wallet addresses, sent by a project rather than bought by the recipient. On Robinhood Chain the transfers are ordinary on-chain transactions, so who received what, and when, is public and countable.
The mechanism is a snapshot. A project publishes a rule, records qualifying addresses at a stated block, then sends the tokens, paying gas on every transfer. Because the snapshot block is fixed, anyone can rebuild the recipient list from chain data and check it against the rule.
Tokens also arrive unrequested. Any address can send you anything, and a token in your wallet is not a distribution you qualified for. Interacting with one can require granting a spending approval, so revoke token approvals is the companion habit.
Airdropped supply shows up in a token page's holder distribution as a wave of addresses that received tokens without ever trading, which is why distribution and transfer history sit together. Explore screens all —pending tracked tokens.
Which drops are worth farming, and how a project runs one end to end, is covered in airdrop farming: the honest playbook. Locksley is built by TrustSwap and powered by Team Finance, whose airdrop tool costs $100 per use as of August 2026, plus gas in ETH. Promote a Robinhood Chain token sets out what a labeled placement does. We charge for the doing, never for the reporting. Paying never changes how a token's data displays.
Frequently asked questions
Is an airdrop the same as free money?
No. An airdropped token is only worth what someone will pay for it, and that requires a pool with liquidity in it — many airdropped tokens have none. Some cannot be sold at all. Treat a received token as an unknown contract until you have read its pool depth and sell path, not as a credited balance.
