A quote asset is the token a liquidity pool prices the other token against. In a SHERIFF/RHC pool, RHC is the quote asset. It is the side a seller is paid from, which is why it matters more than its name suggests.
Its nearest neighbour is the base asset, the token being priced. The discriminating difference: only the quote side can pay you. A pool holding mostly the project's own token and little RHC shows a healthy total with nothing to pay out of.
Why escrow is stated in it
Every escrow figure here is given in RHC and as a share of the RHC in that pool, never as a share of "liquidity". A position priced away from the market commits nothing a seller can reach — yet it scores well on the denominators other sites use. Ours reads it as zero. How escrow is computed →
As of —pending, —pending of the RHC in indexed pools sits inside a position with an escrow record, per Locksley's contract reads.
Worked example. A pool holds 4,120,000 SHERIFF and 218.9 RHC — roughly $172,000 against $622 at the pool's mid. A holder with $7,700 of SHERIFF faces a quote side a twelfth of their position, however large the headline.

Why not just publish total liquidity?
