Fees, and how Locksley makes money
Locksley is free to read. Labeled sponsor placements and sister-company services pay for it: we charge for the doing, never for the reporting. Every fee, dated.
Locksley is free to use, with no account and no paywall, because reporting is not what we sell: the money comes from labeled sponsor placements and from sister-company services readers choose to buy. We charge for the doing, never for the reporting. Paying never changes how a token's data displays.
How is Locksley free?
Because the data costs little to render and nothing to give away. Locksley reads —pending tokens' contract state and publishes it, along with every guide and glossary entry, with no account, no paywall and no gated tier. Reading is not the product we charge for. Getting started covers what you get for nothing.
How does Locksley make money?
Two ways, both stated plainly. Labeled promotion: sponsor placements on Locksley, and distribution through The Crypto App, always marked as placements. And sister-company services: Locksley is built by TrustSwap and powered by Team Finance, and some readers go on to lock, vest or launch through them. Promote a token is the first of those.
Does paying ever change how a token displays?
Never. We charge for the doing, never for the reporting. Paying never changes how a token's data displays. A sponsor placement is labeled as a placement and sits in a slot reserved for placements. Rankings, screener sorts, lock panels and token pages are computed from on-chain state that no payment touches. Getting listed and noticed spells out the boundary.
What do Team Finance services cost?
As of August 2026, Team Finance — our sister product — charges $150 per liquidity lock, token lock or NFT lock, $100 for vesting or an airdrop, and $50 for a multisender. A MintPlus launch is free with the standard lock fee waived, staking pools are free for a limited time, and the Pro plan is $2,500 a year. Gas in ETH is separate. Every fee, dated.
What is the sponsor slot?
One labeled placement a day, sold against the daily edition and marked as a placement wherever it runs. It buys attention next to the edition and nothing else — not a ranking, not a sort order, not a line of any token page. Today's edition is where it appears.
Why do you recommend your own companies' tools?
Because they are the ones we can describe precisely, and we state the relationship every time: Locksley is built by TrustSwap and powered by Team Finance. Where a free route fits, we name it first — MintPlus for a fair launch. Competitors get stated facts and prices, never characterizations. Team Finance vs UNCX is the side-by-side.
Does Locksley take a cut of my trades?
No. Swaps run through a DEX on Robinhood Chain, and the fee on a swap goes to that pool's liquidity providers, plus gas in ETH to the network. Locksley sits outside that path and adds nothing to it. What is a DEX? explains where the fee actually goes.
Are the guides sponsored?
No. No guide, comparison or wallet list on Locksley carries an affiliate link or a paid placement, and no ordering on those pages was bought. Where a sister product appears in one, the relationship is disclosed in the same paragraph as the recommendation. Best wallets for the chain states exactly that on the page itself.
Questions we will not answer, and why
These refusals are the product, not a limitation of it. The rest of this category answers all four by implication — through a score, a badge, a colour, or a ranked list of what to look at next. Each of those is a judgement wearing the costume of a measurement, and the moment a site can be paid to shade one, everything else it publishes is worth less.
